Hello fellow heathens,
This Sunday, I have the distinct pleasure of playing at one of the most spirited spots in Deadwood, South Dakota—Saloon #10. A place dripping with history, where echoes of the Old West blend perfectly with the strums of my guitar.
As many of you know, my journey with music has always been about more than just notes and chords; it’s a pathway to connect, to tell stories, and to feel the common thread of human experience. In many ways, stumbling head first into performing music is what kept me going through some dark times in my life. Getting to still enjoy the artistry of music performance now that I’m livin’ in good times is truly a treat. There’s something mystical about playing in a venue that’s seen so many stories unfold—both legendary and everyday, and this venue being a part of my story, and I with it, has truly been a highlight of my life.
Saloon #10 holds a special place in my heart. It happens to be the place I stumbled into and saw the woman who is now my wife. It’ll be 10 years this fall since that fateful night and we are on our way to introducing our 3rd child together to the world this fall. We had a little fun with the announcement, pulling inspiration from Ocean’s 11.
There’s a lot of reasons I play music, and one of ‘em is to instill the love of creation into my children, however that love chooses to manifest itself in them.
This weekend, from 2 PM to 5 PM, I invite you to be part of this continuing story. We’ll share tunes, tales, and perhaps a little bit of the magic that only music can offer. Whether you’re a longtime follower or new to my work, your presence would mean the world to me.
Here’s what you can expect:
A setlist blending old favorites with new experiments. Songs that have traveled with me and evolved, just as I have.
Stories behind the songs. The inspirations, the places, and the people that have shaped them.
A welcoming, vibrant atmosphere where music meets legacy.
Join me for an afternoon that promises to be as enriching as it is entertaining. Let’s celebrate the past while we sing into the future.
